PROJECTS SUPPORTED

WHEN YOU PURCHASE A MARULA PRODUCT

You will help New Ways help a child in Kenya to become a well-educated and responsible adult by covering costs for all the necessary educational materials such as books, uniforms and shoes. The provision of these materials encourages these children to attend school more regularly and incentivizes them to focus better during lessons, making a positive impact on their academic achievement.

WHEN YOU PURCHASE A CAMU PRODUCT

You will help New Ways to provide a nutritious meal to an Ethiopian* nursery school child for one day. What a child eats today will have a lasting impact on his or her physical and mental health, helping them to feel good about themselves, do well academically at school and grow into healthy adults.

WHEN YOU PURCHASE A KIGELIA PRODUCT

You will help the Microloan Foundation Australia to invest in the future of an impoverished woman in Malawi and her family by providing her with a 1 day business training course. This course will help her to establish and maintain her business through giving her relevant financial literacy skills, ultimately enabling her to support her family and contribute to their livelihood.

WHEN YOU PURCHASE A DISCOVERY KIT

You will help So They Can provide textbooks and exercise books to a child in Kenya. Books are the window to the world and every book donated will go a long way to expanding each child’s horizon. This will help them to develop into well-educated and responsible adults that can make a contribution to Kenya’s future.

WHEN YOU PURCHASE A DOUBLE CLEANSE COLLECTION

Child marriage, early motherhood and an unstable economic background, all form barriers to education for many women in India. Often living with and caring for their in-laws, these women have little chance for self-advancement or financial independence. You will help the Wonder Foundation to provide courses in sewing to foster independence and respect for our students within their families. This includes advanced classes and the option to obtain a certificate in tailoring and machine embroidery.

WHEN YOU PURCHASE An ORGANIC CLEANSING CLOTH

You will help to give illiterate adolescent Dalit girls access to literacy education. These girls come from the poorest families and belong to the group of the Dalit or the Untouchables, a repressed group in India, and have been taken out of school to help earn money for their family. Learning to read and write will open up many opportunities in their life. Your help provides the wages of a teacher, provision of teaching materials and upkeep of the literacy centre to support these girls.

IMAGINE A WORLD FULL OF GIVING

GIVE UP FOR GOOD

Our annual Give Up for Good campaign allows us to support an additional Buy1Give1 project every quarter 4.

2021: 170 MICROLOANS

You helped So They Can equip women in Kenya with business skills and the micro-finance loan they require to start up and run profitable small businesses to improve their standard of living so they can change their own lives, provide education to their children and create employment opportunities for their communities. Through their learning and practical application women who have benefitted from this project have gone on to open small stores, selling, milk, groceries and chickens. Others have turned their skills, such as weaving and sewing, into products to sell at markets.

2020: 630 days of access to healthcare

You helped The Canaan Health Clinic in Kenya provide a critical service to the 10,000+ people in the local community. They provide medical supplies and a laboratory technician for the clinic, playing a vital role in improving the health of the community. This medical centre is the only local facility available for this community, providing life-saving medicines and early diagnosis, hence saving many lives. In supporting this project, you are also ensuring the well-being and productivity of the entire community.

2019: 1.5 YEARS OF EDUCATION

You helped The Mango Tree Orphan Support Trust provide education for adolescent orphan girls with an objective of reducing school drop out rate as a result of lack of school fees. Upon enrolment in school, the organisation pays fees, provide basic shopping, and offesr life skills training and mentorship programs during school holidays. This will ensure that girls are empowered go through any challenge while at home and maintain performance.
