Protect skin’s youthful integrity with Marula oil, known as nature’s age-defying overachiever. Wild harvested and cold pressed in Kenya by Masaai women, this treasured oil restores and balances moisture levels to improve appearance of tone, firmness and elasticity for perfectly hydrated, uplifted and radiant skin.
Where We Source Our Marula
Used for centuries by African women to hydrate and nourish the skin, our Marula oil is extracted from the kernel of the Marula tree which is wild-harvested and processed by the local Maasai women in Kenya. Intrepid women in their own right, the tribe walks into the wild stands of Kenya to pick the fruit, dry it and cold press the nut for the oil. This labour intensive ritual provides these women with an independent source of income, which has led to upliftment of their families and resulted in wider community benefits.
“Marula oil has been shown to have free radical scavenging properties higher than most oils on the market… Tests included ‘skin hydration’, ‘transepidermal water loss’ and ‘increase in skin smoothness’ with marula oil performing significantly well.”
